Late Thursday night, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officially gave Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine the “Emergency Use Approval” status it has been waiting for all along.
This is quite a historic movement in the acceleration of innovative progress within the fields of science and technology. Within the span of one year, two vaccines for deadly diseases were both created and approved to be used within the United States. A remarkable beat that shouldn’t be talked about lightly.
It’s also a historic moment for pharmaceutical giant Moderna, as this is the very first medication they’ve ever created in their entire history to get a green light from the FDA.
Like the vaccine from Pfizer, Moderna’s vaccine is meant to be delivered in two full doses spaced out over the course of a month. But unlike Pfizer, the vaccine from Moderna can be stored in an ordinary freezer without degrading its stability (Remember that Pfizer’s vaccine MUST be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius).
FDA Commissioner Dr. Stephan Hahn had this to say about the news:
“With the availability of two vaccines now for the prevention of COVID-19, the FDA has taken another crucial step in the fight against this global pandemic that is causing vast numbers of hospitalizations and deaths in the United States each day.”
“Through the FDA’s open and transparent scientific review process, two COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized in an expedited timeframe while adhering to the rigorous standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality needed to support emergency use authorization that the American people have come to expect from the FDA”.
And just like the Pfizer vaccine, Moderna’s COVID-19 candidate is expected to start distribution today. 20 million doses for Americans are expected to be produced by December 31st, and it is projected that up to 100 million doses will be produced in Q1 2021.
The Trump administration didn’t call this entire initiative “Operation Warp Speed” for nothing!
It’s a huge payoff for the company, which has lost a lot of money this past year. In fact, the three founding members of the company have collectively lost $1.7 billion between now and the time they have started created their COVID-19 vaccine candidate.
But all of that fear and worry can now be safely put aside. This year alone, they will make $800 million from the COVID-19 vaccine alone and next year’s numbers could be as high as $10 billion in revenue.
What can I say? It’s amazing the company has come this far, but without long-term safety data, we can only pray and hope that the first humans in line to receive the vaccine – essential workers, the elderly – won’t experience any nasty side effects.

Which COVID-19 Vaccine Will Americans Choose!?
Two out of the six COVID-19 vaccines that are part of the Trump administration’s “Operation Warp Speed” projected now have FDA approval under the “Emergency Use Authorization” tag. The only question that remains now is which candidate Americans will prefer and their reasons for making their choice.
The Motley Fool recently wrote about this dilemma, citing a few important data points.
“Back in May, when researchers were still trying to learn everything there was to know about COVID-19, Pew Research Center asked Americans about their willingness to take a vaccine, if one were approved today.”
“Some 72% of respondents were in favor of taking the vaccine. But by September, when Pew asked a new group of respondents the same question, only 51% were “definitely” or “probably” going to get the vaccine… that’s nearly 125 million adults that have no desire to get the vaccine.”
“For Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca/Oxford, a full-course treatment involves two doses. The cost of treatment is $39 for Pfizer/BioNTech, between $50 and $74 for Moderna, with the variance in price dependent on how much vaccine a buyer (i.e., country) purchases, and between $6 and $8 for AstraZeneca/Oxford, which have chosen to sell at cost.”
So if we extrapolate the poll numbers with the direct cost of the vaccine, the three pharmaceutical companies quoted are looking at $4 billion in missed sales. And as the post-approval safety data comes in, it could be a LOT less if more people feel uncomfortable with taking the COVID-19 vaccine.
Employees Who Don’t Get Vaccinated for COVID-19 Can Be BANNED From the Workplace!
As we celebrate about the emergence of COVID-19 vaccines in record time, we have to ask ourselves how badly employers want their workers to get vaccinated.
Because according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), they are within their rights to make COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory. From CBS:
“…companies have the legal right to mandate that employees get a COVID-19 shot… More specifically, employers are entitled — and required — to ensure a safe workplace in which “an individual shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of individuals in the workplace.” That can mean a company requiring its workforce to be vaccinated.”
“The Americans with Disabilities Act limits an employer’s ability to require workers to get a medical examination. But the EEOC’s latest guidance clarifies that getting vaccinated does not constitute a medical exam. As a result, ordering employees to get a COVID-19 shot would not violate the ADA”
In simpler language, unless you have deeply held religious beliefs or a special disability that prevents you from getting the COVID-19 vaccine, there’s no way to weasel yourself out of this legal fiasco. And if your job involves you being on the frontline, and your employer can’t accommodate you, they can have you let go under the guise of being a “threat” to their safety.

“3,150 People Already Have Side Effects From Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine”
We’re not even TWO WEEKS into the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine being available for public use, and yet we have a grand total of over 3,000 people who have been negatively affected by the vaccine (as of December 18th).
According to ZeroHedge:
“Thousands of people have been unable to work or perform daily activities, or required care from a healthcare professional, after getting the new COVID-19 vaccine, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”
“The CDC said that 272,001 doses of the vaccine were administered as of Dec. 19. That means most people who were vaccinated did not experience negative effects… six case reports of anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction, that occurred following vaccination with the new vaccine”
This means if you have experienced anaphylaxis, you are not getting a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer. And if any of the ingredients in the vaccine will cause an allergic reaction, you shouldn’t get vaccinated at ALL.
Now, while some of the more minor side effects go away after several days (chills, muscle pain, tiredness, headaches) , this is quite concerning. For Pfizer’s sake, they’d better hope that this is as bad as it gets…
China LAUGHS In Our Faces As Life Returns to the Old Pre-2020 Normal
As the rest of the world inevitably faces a second round of harsh lockdowns like we did back in March, it appears as if China is scot-free. Especially the city of Wuhan, where COVID-19 was believed to have originated.
Breitbart reports on the shocking difference between “then” and “now”:
“The city soon underwent a draconian 76-day lockdown as its hospitals struggled to deal with a tidal wave of cases that required the rapid construction of field hospitals to handle the overflow”.
Today everything is different. As Reuters reports, revelers are once more thronging the nightclubs, bars and restaurants of the central Chinese city of 11 million residents, discarding the shackles of lockdown and partying hard ready for the dawn of 2021.
Nightlife in Wuhan is back in full swing almost seven months after the city lifted its stringent lockdown and the city’s young partygoers are embracing the catharsis, according to the wire report… young Wuhan residents during a recent night out crowd-surfed ate street food and packed the city’s nightclubs.”
Imagine that. While the rest of the world struggles to handle COVID-19 and can’t stop cases from surging, China gets to resume life as normal and abandon all of the restrictions. No more mask wearing, no more social distancing, and no more locked down businesses forced to close permanently.
Almost makes you wonder if they’re hiding something from us, and/or lying to the world again. My hunch is that it’s both.
